This is a post dealing with the DNC 2012. I am simply speaking of a specific speaker, Mrs. Tammy Duckworth. For those who do not know her story, MUST understand that I am not coming from a Democratic point of view, but what she has been through inspires me as an American, and as a female who once considered the military. This extremely strong lady has been through a lot. Shes one of the first Army women to fly combat mission in Iraq in 2004. When her blackhawk started taking fire, a rocket propelled grenade hit her helicopter, exploding in her lap, and ripping off one leg, crushing the other and also taking a part of her arm off. She is successful when it comes to supporting the VA, and keeping in touch with the younger veterans through online communications. I encourage all to read her about her story, and even better yet, read her speech. Regardless of your political standpoint, PLEASE READ THIS INSPIRATIONAL STORY THAT MADE ME TEAR UP!

REAL LIFE PRAYERS

As we all know whether from the news or from word of mouth, Colorado will never be the same. I can only pray, an hope that those lives taken on the night of the horrific tragedy are safe in Heaven and will walk hand in hand with our beloved Abba. I also send my sympathies to the families who were affected and have recently lost someone. I am just as ashamed to know that a brilliant mind can go bad and had to take innocent lives away from this Earth.

So this past Friday, the some of the girls and I decided to have a GIRLS NIGHT OUT. Location: D Bar. This is not your ordinary bar with liquor, and beer. This is a bar designed for DESSERTS! Yes, you heard me correctly. A BAR DESIGNATED FOR TOP DESSERTS. When you first pass by the shop you wouldnt think that this “place is a top of the line, everyone must eat here” kind of place but youre wrong. The interior is fantastic, though kind of small on the inside, but if its a clear night, you might as well sit outside and watch the city cars go by. I ordered the Chefs specialty, while the other girls ordered a  raspberry sufle and a a creme brulee. Dont worry, you dont only need to eat dessert there, they also serve some AWESOME salads, and a DELICIOUS Pizza Salad on Pita bread. Keep in mind that this is gourmet food but surprisingly, the most expensive food there was only $17, only because it was steak and some thing else on the plate. But I am telling you, you get a great BANG FOR YOUR BUCK if you have a sweet tooth and want something to eat. Its a mix between a cafe, and a dessert/dinner place where everyone goes. Keep in mind though, you should make a reservation if you do ever plan on going there. Dont worry my people from Hawaii, I Will make a post at the end of the summer of all the places YOU MUST GO, when in Denver/Colorado. But until then, all you have are my pictures of the desserts at the DBAR! :)

ENJOY!

I had an AMAZING time white water rafting. It was totally worth my money and the slight pain in my abs, but thats all right! The rock I jumped off is NOTHING compared to Waimeas but it was a fun experience. I must say, this actually makes me want to paddle more. But I could do without the cold water and harsh wind conditions. :) The food that we got at White Waters was delicious. I ordered the French Penini, and it was sooo cheeesy, LITERALLY. :) The drive there and back was a total of 4 hours but man did I see some shopping spots I would really want to go to! :) Speaking of shopping, oh well….Ill probably post more as the week comes to an end. I usually get all my shopping done on the weekends since I work from 7am-5pm and by the time I get home, its 6pm. Then I am off doing calculations and much more things for science! :)

till next post readers!
