The CJ faculty and staff were invited to the ground breaking ceremony for Hawaii’s new law enforcement memorial on Monday, May 16, near the Kalanimoku Building downtown. Gov. Neil Abercrombie and members of the Hawaii Law Enforcement Memorial Foundation held the groundbreaking ceremony. Sixty officers in Hawaii have lost their lives while on duty. In attendance: Chaminade’s Ron Becker, Collin Lau, Melissa Hollar, Joe Allen said that it was an honor to be there. 


  • Dr. Lee Goff is teaching a week-long workshop this May in Detection and Recovery of Human Remains. Students attending are from Hawaii, California, Colorado and Australia.
  • Ron Becker, director of Chaminade’s Criminal Justice program, this May has begun his week-long workshop in Underwater Forensic Investigation. Chaminade will host public safety and law-enforcement participants from American Samoa, Northern Mariana Island, and Hawaii.
