Chaminade University announced this week that it has $75,000 in private donor scholarship funds yet to be awarded for the academic year of 2011-2012. The scholarships are available for undergraduate students enrolled as full-time Chaminade students in a wide variety of majors including education, business, behavioral science, humanities and the natural sciences.
“We understand how expenses can mount up for college students. More than 95% of our undergraduate students already receive financial aid each year,” said Joy Bouey, dean of enrollment. “Because we prioritize student access and success, our scholarship program and financial aid packages are excellent at making our tuition affordable.”
Students should have at least a 3.0 GPA and have performed volunteer services in their communities. Students must complete a Chaminade scholarship application form as well as have filed their Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Hawaii residents are preferred. Award amounts vary according to fund availability.
Students are encouraged to apply immediately. For more information, please contact Chaminade University’s Financial Aid Office at firstname.lastname@example.org or call (808) 735-4780.
