At least 470 new students — more than 320 of them first-year students–swelled the undergraduate full-time count to over 1200 students. That is the largest number in the university’s 56 year history.

What: 17th Annual Komen Hawai’i Race for the Cure
Why: Survivors, family members, friends, and dedicated community activists come together to help end breast cancer forever. Goal this year is $650,000 to continue work in the community.

OPEN MEETING WITH THE PRESIDENT

Who: Chaminade President Bro. Bernard Ploeger, SM, invites faculty and staff in consultation with supervisors and others in individual departments to attend
What: A presentation on the current state of the University and its future directions; a discussion on what is going well and what could be improved to serve our students and each other better; question and answer period for any issues of interest.
Why: Meetings are informal and optional, but a great way to stay connected and engaged in the University’s planning and future
