“Students in Service” scholarship program orientation meeting. The program is a part-time AmeriCorps program that offers scholarships to college students who participate in community service. Scholarships start at $1175, up to $2775.
HOW:
Find out if your service or unpaid internship qualifies. Attend in-person orientation meeting and start process.

After the panel discussion, meet for a few 15 minute consultations with journalism professionals in television, print, radio, online and business. Consultations may be done one on one or in groups depending on participation. This workshop is geared for all career levels from professionals to freelancers and students.  This is your chance to ask any questions you have about what to do to take your career to the next step in journalism, how to improve your chances of employment, what it takes to work in the industry, or whatever you would like to know. Light refreshments served.
