We have some sad news to share. Former faculty member, Nora Chee, passed away on June 5, 2012. “Mama Chee,” as she was known at Chaminade, was considered to be a pioneering cornerstone for this university’s science programs. Teaching full time from August 1964 through 1991 when she retired, she continued to teach part-time until 2003. Come join her family in remembering and celebrating her life on Tuesday, June 26, from 4 to 6 p.m. at services for her to be held at Mystical Rose Oratory. Father Tim Eden will lead the service, and there will be about 30 to 40 minutes of open microphone for anyone who would like to say a few words or share a “Mama Chee” story. Everyone is invited. Light refreshments will be served throughout. For more information, please contact Henry Gomes at 735-4750 or Anela Evans at 739-4739.
