On Monday, July 2, 2012, Chaminade University will be testing its emergency alert system. There will be multiple test messages sent via InformaCast to campus phones, campus computers and individual mobile phones which have previously subscribed to the system. The series of multiple test messages will check for proper linkage of messages to the system.
In addition, testing of the high power speak array (a.k.a. public address system), blog, mass emails and home web page, which are normally held on the first working day of the month, will also take place on Monday, July 2, 2012.
