but nights will be exceptional
this holiday season at Chaminade.


HONOLULU—November 26, 2012–
Chaminade University will light up its campus tonight, Monday, Nov. 26, at 7 p.m.. Best viewing will be in front of Clarence T.C. Ching Hall. The public and the media are welcome. The campus lights will be up throughout December, and the public is welcome to drive through and enjoy the wonderment. The university is located at 3140 Wai’alae Avenue, Honolulu, Hawaii 96816.

There will also be a Los Posadas procession prior to the lighting starting at the office of Residence Life in Kieffer Hall, top of the campus, starting at approximately 6:30 p.m.  All are invited to join the procession as well.  Los Posadas is a traditional Hispanic celebration during the month of December.  Chaminade students will play the roles of Mary and Joseph and migrate throughout the university, seeking shelter and being turned away.  The procession will end at Clarence T.C. Ching Hall where the couple will be welcomed in.  When Mary and Joseph reappear with the baby Jesus, the campus lights will be turned on. Light refreshments will be available.
