The latest forecast has Honolulu under a Tropical Storm Watch for Hurricane ANA.  Earlier this morning,  members of Chaminade’s Preparedness/Planning Committee met to review precautionary measures taken and being taken in response to Tropical Storm / Hurricane Ana. At present, no school closure is planned. Should that change, notifications will be sent out via mass email and InformaCast as well as uploaded to the university’s webpage at: .

Chaminade Facilities Department, as a precaution, did take down  the tents near the library, at Henry Hall Courtyard, and between Henry and Clarence TC Ching hall temporarily.  Known schedule changes for events are listed further down.

The University will continue to monitor closely local media as well as state and county notifications.

Known Schedule Changes This Weekend

  • Athletic events –The men’s and women’s soccer matches that was to have been played at the University of Hawai‘i-Hilo this Saturday have been postponed. The Chaminade vs. UH-Hilo men’s and women’s soccer matches are now set to be played on Thursday, Nov. 6 at UH-Hilo. The men will play at 12:30 p.m., followed by the women and 3 p.m. In addition, the Silverswords women’s volleyball match vs. California Baptist that was set for 7 p.m. on Saturday at McCabe Gym has been moved up to 1 p.m.


  • Hogan Entrepreneurs—Homeless Job Preparation Workshop has been rescheduled from this Saturday to next Saturday, October 25 from 8:30am – 2pm.
