Hospital in Chuuk receive needed supplies thanks to the efforts of Chaminade’s nursing faculty and MDF’s “Crafting Wellness” Philanthropy program.

In late August, this photo from Chuuk, Micronesia was shared with the School of Nursing at Chaminade University. After Chaminade’s  Clinical Immersion in Chuuk in spring 2014,  nursing professor, Joy Bliss RN BN MSc PhD, was able to arrange to send about $1000 worth of blood pressure cuffs, stethoscopes and various other medical instruments to Chuuk Hospital, thanks to the generosity of MDF Instruments on behalf of Chaminade’s faculty of Nursing! Hospital staff were very grateful for the desperately needed instruments at their hospital. These instruments were given to the Hospital through MDF’s “Crafting Wellness” Philanthropy program, thanks to the assistance of Aubrey Scarr, director of Philanthropy at MDF Instruments.  MDF instruments are currently used in Chaminade’s campus nursing lab .
